Visalia has been designated the first-ever Certified Autism Destination in the country, awarded by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). In addition to extensive training, Visalia’s tourism businesses are providing accommodations such as adding sensory guides, signage, introducing quiet spaces, low-sensory nights, and more.
We’re a Certified Autism Center!
The Certified Autism Center (CAC) credential is awarded to organizations working with individuals with autism. The CAC recognizes education, experience and commitment of organizations worldwide. Our staff has participated in the specialized autism training program and we are now a Certified Autism Center. We also recognize the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program.
